Abstract

In a double-layer foundation, the dynamic installation depth of an anchor is influenced by both the motion state of the anchor tip as it passes through the initial interface and the subsequent penetration distance. For winged rocket anchors, the Euler–Lagrange (CEL) method coupled with Abaqus/Explicit was employed. Under conditions where the anchor configuration and penetration velocity remained constant, six test cases were set up to compare the sequence of soil layers, the relative thickness of the upper layer, and the material strength ratio when E/c was fixed at 500. Using the first dynamic stop as the evaluation endpoint, the penetration process was analyzed by combining the velocity–depth relationship with the soil response field. The calculation results indicate that when the layer sequence is reversed from S3/H6 to H6/S3, the layer penetration velocity differs by only 1.01%, while the depth of the first stop increases by 23.58%; this difference is primarily accumulated during the deceleration phase following layer penetration; when the relative thickness of the upper layer increased from 0.45 to 1.50, the penetration velocity decreased by 23.69%, while the depth of the first stop increased by only 3.84%, and the geometric penetration distance below the initial interface actually decreased; when the material strength ratio increased from 1.00 to 2.00, the depth of the first stop decreased by 19.51%. The velocity vector, equivalent plastic strain, and material volume fraction represent local flow, cumulative deformation, and the transport of upper-layer material along the penetration path, respectively. A comparison of parameters in the idealized model demonstrates that the first-stop position cannot be evaluated solely by the penetration velocity; the subsequent motion trajectory and stage distance must also be considered.
